Cheap Flights to Aruba

In the southern portion of the Caribbean Sea, just above Venezuela, Aruba benefits by being slightly cooler than some of its northerly Caribbean neighbors. Once economically supported by natural oil resources, this small island (population 100,000 and about 19x6 miles in size) now relies mainly on tourism for its economic viability, a reality that is embraced by it citizens who treat visitors with great hospitality. This theme is even reflected in the country’s national anthem, “the greatness of our people is their great cordiality.”

Kukoo Kunuku: An institution in Aruba in the form of an flamboyant 1957 Chevy bus that shuttles its riders on a wild club and bar hopping tour through Aruba. Not your run of the mill metro bus ride.

Casinos: Amongst the handfuls of high-roller and low-roller gambling venues on the island include the Wyndham’s, Bogart theme, Casablanca Casino and the Hyatt’s, Rio “Carnival” theme, Copacabana Casino.

Beaches: In addition to the white sand and turquoise waters, Aruba’s beaches have exceptionally clean coastlines. Eagle Beach, on the southwestern coast, is one of the island’s best, having been voted to the top 10 in the world by several major travel magazines.

Shopping: Most products are duty-free, meaning they can be purchased without tax, at places such as Caya G. F. Betico Croes, Aruba’s main shopping drag, loaded with boutiques and vendors.
