About
Oahu
Hawaii’s most populous island, is highlighted by the capital city
of Honolulu, the political, cultural and economic hub of the Hawaiian
Islands. Home to nearly 75% of the state’s population, it’s
the most urban island and where highways and high-rises lie along white
sandy, aqua-water beaches. However, the populous areas are confined to
this southern side of the island and a 25 minute drive in the other direction
will take you to crowdless beaches filled with tropical fish and overlooked
by lush upcountry hiking trails.
