Located 250 miles south of Mexico City in a bay on the Pacific coast, is Mexico's original beach vacation destination. Acapulco essentially has a 7 mile beachside strip that runs along La Costera Miguel Aleman and is lined with hotels, shops, cantinas, discos, bars, clubs and restaurants. La Quebrada: Acapulco's famous high divers leap 120 feet off these cliffs into the Pacific Ocean, timing their leap to coordinate with incoming waves.

Beaches: Playa Condesa is the hot-spot for the young and vibrant, Playa Hornitos is a slower-paced family beach while Playa Catella is a quiet, intimate, romantic spot.

Mercado Municipal: Authentic Mexican market filled with fruits, vegetables, pottery, beads and metalwork. A great place to polish up on your bargaining skills.
