Diving and Snorkeling: The most popular areas are just north of Puerto Vallarta at Las Marietas, Corbetena and El Morro.

Viejo Vallarta: Great place to embrace the history on Mexico and explore and wander around the old-fashioned cobbled streets, white-walled houses, wrought-iron balconies and white-washed tile-roofed houses.

Isla Rio Cuale: An island in the middle of Rio Cuale, the river which divides Puerto Vallarta. Has boutiques, cafes, riverside restaurants and the Cuale Museum where one can examine archeological findings from the region.

Playa de los Muertos: Site of a deadly battle between silver smugglers and native indians. Also happens to one of Puerto Vallarta's most visited beaches.
